Another Adventure Awaits

We pulled out of the train station in downtown Fresno early yesterday morning with our hearts light and eyes barely open, the wayfarer’s spirit already rising within me. The air was cool, tinged with the faint scent of traffic and coffee, and as the sun began to rise, the promises of what lay ahead were on my heart.

We are at Travis AFB, hoping to depart eastward in the next few days. And, although there is no map traced in ink, no itinerary carved in stone, we are excited about the steady rhythm of our steps toward the unknown.

Every departure has its quiet magic, that delicate moment when the familiar fades behind you and the incredible unfolding as the journey begins.

Travis is the threshold for this magic, the last known place before we step into the vastness of elsewhere. From here, the road will stretch out like a ribbon, pointing east, then bending, winding, whispering, “Follow me.” We do not ask where it will end. The gift is in the going.

And so begins our adventure—not toward any one destination, but into the heart of wonder itself, guided only by the promise of places unknown.

There is a possible flight to Germany tomorrow. And, while it would be lovely to be on it, we will trust The One who knows us to direct our ways. Until then, I will rejoice in this day and the beauty of our time together.

You are loved…
