Wanderlust 2024

Over the years, I’ve come to recognize these inklings that stir my heart. They have become quite predictable, and as soon as a spring or autumn breeze begins to blow, I start to feel this restlessness that only seems to be satisfied in one way: embarking on a journey. My past travels, both near and far, have instilled in me a sense of wanderlust and a desire to explore and experience new cultures, landscapes, and people. And so, I will sojourn for a while to quench this thirst for adventure and connectiveness.

As we begin our road trip, I feel the excitement building within me. I can’t help but imagine the new sights we’ll see, the people we’ll meet and the stories we will have to tell. Embarking on a new adventure and discovering unexplored places fills my heart with delightful anticipation.

And while I am looking forward to the new experiences and the breathtaking landscapes, mostly I look forward to our time together.

This year, we will venture into some places we have never been: Nebraska, South Dakota, North Dakota, and Canada. We chose these destinations because there were still places in our country we had yet to see. I’ve always been intrigued by the rich history of South and North Dakota, and Mount Rushmore has always been a bucket list item for me. We have decided to drive through Nevada, Utah, Wyoming, Oregon, and Washington as we travel to and from these areas, each with unique charm and beauty.

We will pack our car with all the essentials: audiobooks to keep us entertained during the long drives, maps to guide us through unfamiliar territories, hiking boots and poles for our outdoor adventures, a cozy fur blanket, and a pillow for comfortable rest.

We have a few destinations in mind. The rest we know when we arrive. We will let you know when we return at the end of the month!

Until then, you are loved.
