Worms, Germany

fullsizeoutput_3b63Let me start off by saying that this place always gets my attention when I see it on the map. It looks like…WORMS but is pronounced Varms which rhymes with farms only with a ‘V’. Once you get that down it is easy to think about the other attributes that make it an attention worthy place to visit.

It is located on the upper Rhine about 60km south and west of Frankfurt. It is an old city with a history that dates back to the time of Attila the Hun in the fifth century and has  artifacts being displayed in the local museum dating back to 436 AD. In recent history it is probably most famous for being the place that Martin Luther defended his ninety-five thesis. This was the location where the Roman Empire held its Imperial Diet, a Diet being a formal deliberative assembly.

All that we have been a part of has enriched us. Excited to be with you soon to share these stories.

You are loved.
